In the last two weeks, I've been the target of some pretty hateful rants from my fellow Christians. Both of these happened face to face, not even online.
Rant #1. A woman I usually talk to when I pick my son up from his school started going off about Armenians. My husband is Armenian, which I don't think she knew, and it takes a lot to offend me. Believe me, I was offended. This is a private Christian school. This happened on campus. She has asked me what church I go to before etc, so I know she claims to be a Christian.
Rant #2. I was talking to a woman who was picking up her granddaughter yesterday. She asked me what I did for a living and I said I taught in public school. She accused me of not being Christian, as I taught in a secular school. She accused me of being part of 'the problem' because schools were so insensitive to Christians. I didn't even bother to engage much because I doubt she has even been on a public school campus. She talked about how if I send my son to a secular school next year he will loose all of his 'Christian background training' -whatever the hell that is..... She also talked about homeschooling. She talked about so much and I just listened, because you can't engage in crazy. Her words were heated! She was angry at me! LOL! She also in the same rant talked about Jesus being such a wonderful God, so how on Earth could I not quit my public school job and blah blah blah.....
Stick a fork in me people. I'm done engaging with Christians. I am one, but man oh man.... Gotta go to work now, in my public school where I will not be a Christian... hahahaha...... hate to post and leave, but I'll be back later.
